The Gauley River in West Virgina, the Upper Gauley section in particular is one of the top 10 sections of whitewater in the world. It only runs 22 days a year, starting the weekend after Labor Day and running Fri-Mon for 5 weekends followed by a Sat-Sun release for the base-jumping extravaganza known as Bridge Day. This trip features five class V rapids, the last of which, Sweet’s Falls is a 16ft. waterfall. The Upper Gauley is packed with rapids all day long and in my opinionĀ the most ‘fun’ day of class V boating you can get anywhere in the country. Check out the link to North American River Runners to see all the trip options and request Jesse as your guide!

Jesse,
Cool site to go along with a cool dude. Once again thank you for the best trip ever rafting the Upper and Lower Gauley. Definitely a trip of a life time and one that my buddies and I are already planing to do again next year. We’ll be sure to request you for the next one.
